Personal Beliefs and Thoughts
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's teaching guide my life. Please do not hold the church accountable for my actions. The LDS Church is a place for sinners to repent and better themselves, rather than a gathering place for those already perfected.
I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and
in the Holy Ghost. I believe the Godhead consists of three separate and
distinct individuals, that the Father and Son have physical bodies as
tangible as man's, and that the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit.
I believe God created the this earth, and many other worlds, too many to
count.
I believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for
Adam's trangression. I believe that Adam fell that the human race could
continue, and that we are here to live within God given guidelines that
will bring us lasting joy.
I believe that through the Atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved
by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
I believe the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are first,
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, second, repentance, third, baptism by
immersion for the remission of sins, and fourth, the laying on of hands
for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy and the laying
on of hands by those who are in authority to preach the gospel and
administer the ordinances thereof.
I believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church,
including apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, etc.
I believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated
correctly. I also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I
also believe God speaks to us through prophets today.
I strive to understand and believe all that God has revealed, all that
He does now reveal, and that He will yet reveal many great and important
things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
I believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the rstoration of
the Ten Tribes; that Zion, the New Jerusalem, will be built upon the
American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth;
and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
I claim the privilege of whoshiping Almighty God according to the
dictates of my own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let
them worship how, where, or what they may.
I believe in being subject to governmental leaders and believe in
obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
I believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in
doing good to all men. Along with others of my faith, I strive to follow
the admonition of Paul -- We believe all things, we hope all things, we
have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If
there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy,
we seek after these things.
